First up and as I'm sure you are not surprised is reels Instagram reels are short form vertical video content that currently can be up to 90 seconds in length. Instagram users can record video and photos and set them to music at effects add text and stickers and then share that to the realfeed but also to your home feed there are so many different variations of reals that we're currently seeing. You might see lifestyle videos like Day in the Life working from my van or tutorials like how to use notion databases or we also really commonly see just talking head videos where you basically just pick up your phone and share your message directly to the camera reels are also a really great way to participate in current trends whether it's lip syncing to a sound bite for everybody's favorite TV show or using a particular music background and pairing it with a particular scene format. So Basically in summary reels can look a lot of different ways and all these different styles can be really effective. So let's talk about why reels are so useful for your growth.

There are so many reasons why reels are such an effective format on Instagram, but really they can be summed up in these three main points. They're easily digestible they're engaging and they're very discoverable obviously reals are very short often reels are just around seven seconds long, even though they can be up to a minute and a half and people on social media love to take in really Snappy quick short form content. We're all scrolling. We're all you know, really short attention spans these days so reals kind of take advantage of that and grab people's attention right away and provide them value very quickly. They're also super engaging and I think this is just one of the natural advantages a video content over photos. I know a lot of people when reals were introduced felt discouraged because Instagram for them was a place to post their highly curated images the kind of photos that you spend forever like styling and planning and editing and reels really changed the platform away from that and it's not because Instagram was plotting against us in some kind of like evil villain way just to promote reals for no reason it simply because video is just a really really highly engaging format reals just grab your viewers attention in a way that still images just don't quite do so because of these things reels is a really really great way to grow your brand by educating inspiring or entertaining your ideal audience showcasing your Brands personality and values and highlighting what sets you apart from the rest. So for our example real I wanted to show you actually a really quick and easy way to create a real out of Image that you probably already have so what we're going to do for this one is head over to Instagram.

Of course when I come across trending audios that I want to create into a real I like to save it. So I'm just gonna go to my saved posts here and we're gonna go to reels inspo and at this point I'll just scroll through until I find an audio that I think could work well for kind of Montage using footage that I filmed in the past. still my darling all so well my dog. I think I'm gonna go with this first one because I really like the idea of adding the lyrics As text over top. I think this is a really common real format. It can go really viral. So let's go ahead and use this one. So I'm gonna open it up and then I'm just gonna tap on the audio you can see that reels is showing that it's trending. And then I'm just gonna tap on use audio.

Now, I'm going to go ahead and start picking footage for this reel. So the concept here is just a montage of special van life moments. So I'm gonna go ahead and just start selecting them and then choosing the section of the clip that I want to show up in the final version. This also gives you an opportunity to make sure that your footage is sinking up with the lyrics at the pace that you want it to. always you still my God. Is well? Okay, now that we've selected all of our Clips, we're gonna go ahead and click next and continue editing the real. So now to kind of finish out this trend I'm just gonna start typing out the lyrics and then adjust the timing of each phrase so that it shows up at the right time in the real. Oh it ways you down deeper than you know, yeah Raise You Down Deeper Than You Know. Normally would I like to do is if I know what I'm gonna type for the entire thing, I'll type it out ahead of time. So it's just all there and now I'll start adjusting the time of it. Okay, cool. And then I can just press next and from there. I can save this as a draft until I'm ready to make it live.
